I might modify the bird cage and build a Formula 250 like the one below

 

Looking for a new Project

I hate to leave this blog with no posts, if anyone out there has a project that they would like to see done or requires help let me no.

I'm not the best at conveying my thoughts through word. I no my blog was lacking the substance that some of you require, I wasn't sure how much or little I should put in the blog. It's a learning experience so any input would be appreciated.  Tim

SOLD, SOLD, SOLD !!!

Gone to race in Winnipeg Manitoba. Sad to see it go but I know it will have a good home.

Well looks like this will be my last post, the sled is done and so am I. "Back Issues" It is with deep regret that I have to sell it. If anyone out there is interested drop me a line. Since the last post I finished all the small stuff, tail light, snow flap, seat and clutch gaurd. Had it out in the drive and it goes like stink, the driveways not that long so I couldn't open it up. Here are some pictures of the sled finished. I will include an extra chassis, suspension, clutches and two hoods they are all pictured in the blog if you look back. This was a bucket list thing. It sucks getting old. LOL. IF someone would like me to build a sled for them or just need some help drop me a line.

Installed the Tach today I used MS21919WDG14 clamps to attach to the steering hoop (I don't like drilling holes in the hoop)

Purchased a F500 Bumper from Wahl Brothers, installed it with AN3-30 bolts and 10/32 Stainless Steel nuts, I used brake line as spacer material

Welded exhaust stinger and mocking up installation. Purchased exhaust kit from Hooper Racing. John Hooper is a nice guy and is more then willing to give help and advise on your F500 build.

I thought a few of you out there that follow my Blog would like to see some pictures I took of other F500 from some of the races I've been to. It may help with your build. The pictures on the web are always of these sleds racing but nothing on what's under the hoods. Enjoy!!

did some work on the sled over the Christmas break, built trays to support the hood, installed Suspension, Motor and Exhaust to check for clearance

Season starts the end of Jan. hope I can get it done and some testing before that!
